Annual Asbestos Notification

Pursuant to the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA), a school must inspect its building(s) for asbestos containing materials (ACMs); develop, maintain, and update an asbestos management plan for each building; and deliver certain annual notifications to members of the school community. Specifically, at least once each school year, a school (i) must inform parents, teachers, and employees regarding the availability of its management plan (40 CFR 763.93(g)(4)) and (ii) must inform workers and building occupants, or their legal guardians, regarding certain management activities planned or in progress at the school (40 CFR 763.84(c)).

In fulfillment of the foregoing notification requirements, we have provided access to our school’s management plan by the link below. The plan includes details on the location of asbestos, its condition, and the procedures we follow to safely manage and monitor these materials.
